TWRI has developed and implemented the Area Profiler which is a fully functional database and web-based GIS reporting product for managing and delivering spatially distributed statistics at all geographic levels. Simple thematic mapping is also a feature. (Access to Area Profiler is restricted to officers of the five local authorities in Tyne and Wear)
Tyne and Wear Local Statistics Explorer (InstantAtlas) is in the public domain and graphically displays local area profiles.
