This report presents Tyne and Wear’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in respect to UK, European and global consumption and emissions. Time-series are used where possible to illustrate the change in uses/emissions of energy/greenhouse gases within this report. Evidence is also presented on recent trends in UK climate, which could be caused by the increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
